Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StationPilot handles information when you use the StationPilot mobile application and website. StationPilot is an independent amateur radio application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FlexRadio Systems.

Information You Provide

You may enter an operator name, callsign, locator, station nickname, radio connection details, service configuration, memories, macros, filters, and other station preferences. You may also provide credentials for services you choose to connect, such as SmartLink, Wavelog, or QRZ.

Data Stored on Your Device

StationPilot stores most information locally on your device. This can include app preferences, station and connection profiles, radio nicknames, recent connection history, Deck layouts, memories, macros, Wavelog or imported ADIF records, spot history, portable activity data, award statistics, and diagnostics.

Credentials and tokens are stored using operating-system secure storage, such as iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. Ordinary settings exports are designed not to include those secrets.

Network Connections and Third-Party Services

When you enable a feature, StationPilot may send requests directly from your device to a radio, a service you configure, or a public data provider. These can include local or VPN radio endpoints, SmartLink, Wavelog, QRZ, DX Cluster and RBN servers, portable activity providers, and DXpedition data providers.

The information sent depends on the service and can include a callsign, lookup query, station identifier, API credential, connection address, or purchase status. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. StationPilot does not control their retention or security practices.

Purchases and Entitlements

If in-app purchases are enabled, StationPilot uses Apple App Store or Google Play billing and RevenueCat to verify purchases and manage feature entitlements. These providers may process an app user identifier, product and transaction information, app version, platform, and limited device information required to provide the purchase service. StationPilot does not receive your full payment-card details.

Diagnostics and Support

Diagnostics help identify connection, parser, command, Wavelog, QRZ, spot, award, and configuration problems. Diagnostic copy and export tools are designed to redact sensitive values. You decide whether to send diagnostic information to support.

Do not send passwords, API keys, SmartLink tokens, QRZ credentials, Wavelog API keys, public IP addresses, or unredacted logs by email.

Website, Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The StationPilot website is a static, tracking-free website and does not use advertising or analytics scripts. StationPilot does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-app advertising or tracking.

Hosting providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, for delivery, security, and operational logging.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you clear it using an available app control, reset the app, or uninstall it. Secure-storage items can be retained by the operating system after uninstall in some circumstances and can be removed through device or account controls.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Third-party services apply their own retention periods.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can choose which optional services to configure and disconnect them at any time.
• You can clear supported caches, history, imported records, credentials, and settings from the app or device.
• You can choose not to share diagnostics with support.
• You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held in support correspondence, subject to applicable law.

Children's Privacy

StationPilot is a specialist amateur radio utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Security

StationPilot uses reasonable technical measures including operating-system secure storage, encrypted HTTPS connections for supported internet services, bounded local storage, and diagnostic redaction. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest published version.
