These Terms of Use govern your use of the StationPilot mobile application and website. By downloading, accessing, or using StationPilot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use StationPilot.

Eligibility and Licence

You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction. Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use StationPilot on devices you own or control.

Product Scope

StationPilot is a FlexRadio RX/control cockpit and amateur radio station companion. It is designed for operator context, station workflow, Deck controls, diagnostics, Wavelog context, QRZ readiness, spot intelligence, and portable award chasing.

StationPilot is not SmartSDR, a Maestro replacement, a panadapter, a waterfall client, a DAX/CAT tool, a digital-mode engine, an emergency communications guarantee, or a compliance automation tool.

Operator Responsibility

You remain responsible for radio operation, licensing, frequency selection, transmission, station configuration, RF safety, and legal compliance. You must confirm that any command, macro, remote-control workflow, or third-party integration is lawful and appropriate for your jurisdiction, license class, station, and operating conditions.

Radio Control and Safety

StationPilot includes safety gates and blocked TX-risk actions, but software cannot guarantee safe station operation in every configuration. Verify behavior on your own station before relying on any control, macro, preset, or workflow.

Do not use StationPilot where a command failure, delay, stale station state, incorrect configuration, network issue, or operator mistake could create unsafe or unlawful operation.

Acceptable Use

You must not use StationPilot to operate a station without authorisation, violate radio or telecommunications laws, interfere with networks or services, bypass safety or access controls, probe systems without permission, distribute malware, infringe intellectual property, or harm another person or property.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for protecting your device, radio, service accounts, credentials, API keys, and network access. Notify the relevant service provider promptly if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.

Accounts, Credentials, and Third-Party Services

You are responsible for the credentials, API keys, accounts, and services you configure with StationPilot, including SmartLink, Wavelog, QRZ, spot providers, RBN sources, and portable award services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, rate limits, and access requirements.

No Affiliation

StationPilot is an independent amateur radio application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FlexRadio Systems.

FlexRadio, SmartSDR, SmartLink, Maestro, FLEX-6000, FLEX-8000, and Aurora are trademarks or product names of their respective owners.

Purchases and Subscriptions

If paid features are offered, purchases are processed by the applicable app store and are also subject to its terms. Prices, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, refunds, family sharing, and availability are shown by the store at purchase time. Where available, use the app's restore function to recover eligible purchases associated with the same store account.

Ownership and Feedback

StationPilot, its original software, branding, design, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and content remain the property of their respective owners. If you provide suggestions or feedback, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation.

Updates, Availability, and Changes

Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed. Radio firmware, operating systems, stores, networks, and third-party services can affect compatibility and availability. We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using StationPilot at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to services we operate when reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, legal compliance, or these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StationPilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Safety gates reduce risk but do not replace operator judgement, station safeguards, or compliance checks.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of StationPilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, radio access, or service availability arising from StationPilot. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and costs arising from your unlawful operation of a station, unauthorised access, breach of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and mandatory app-store terms form the agreement governing your use of StationPilot.
